FAQ
Getting started with SHP is simple:
1. Sign up for an account
2. Choose your configuration — select server specs, protocol (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2, etc.), and location from 32+ available regions
3. Complete payment — your dedicated server will be automatically deployed within 10-15 minutes
Once your server is running, you'll have full control through the server dashboard. You can switch protocols or relocate to a different region anytime directly from your server details page.
No, server specifications (CPU cores, RAM, and SSD storage) cannot be modified after deployment.
If you need different specs, you'll need to deploy a new server with your desired configuration. However, you can freely change your server's location and protocol at any time without affecting your hardware configuration.
Yes, every server comes with 1 dedicated IPv4 address by default — it's yours exclusively for as long as the server runs.
Important note: Your IP address may change if you:
• Switch to a different region
• Change your VPN protocol
• Reinstall or redeploy your server
We don't currently offer static IP reservation. However, as long as you keep your current configuration (same region, protocol, and no reinstalls), your IP address will remain unchanged and stable.
Currently, SHP supports Ubuntu 24.04 as the default operating system for all servers.
Custom OS images and ISO uploads are not available at this time, but we're actively working on expanding OS options. This functionality is in development and will be rolled out in a future update.
Yes, certain ports and protocols are restricted for security and operational reasons:
Blocked:
• ICMP protocol
• Ports 25, 465, 587, 993 (email/SMTP)
• Ports 5060, 5061, 5160, 5161 (SIP)
Reserved by system services (occupied but not blocked):
• 7788 — ttyd
• 9443 — server management functionality
• 1194 — OpenVPN
• 443, 80 — VLESS, Hiddify
• 43443 — OpenConnect
• 51820 — WireGuard
• 500, 4500 — IKEv2
• 65236 — SSH
All other ports remain available for your use. Reserved ports are essential for your VPN protocols and server management functionality.
Yes, P2P technologies and torrent protocols are allowed on SHP servers.
Important: While the technology itself is permitted, sharing DMCA-protected or copyrighted content is strictly prohibited. We take copyright infringement reports seriously.
Violating copyright laws — regardless of the technology or protocol used — will result in immediate server and account suspension, and may lead to further action. Use torrents responsibly and ensure you have the right to share any content you distribute.
There's no hard limit on the number of devices since you have full root access to your server and can configure it as needed.
Default configurations through the platform dashboard support between 10 and 32 device profiles, depending on your chosen protocol.
Performance considerations:
• Idle/background connections use minimal server resources for most protocols
• Resource-intensive protocols like OpenVPN may experience instability under heavy concurrent load with multiple active connections
• Our servers are not designed for continuous 100% resource utilization. If we detect sustained maximum load, we may need to apply usage restrictions to maintain service stability
For optimal performance, choose lightweight protocols like WireGuard for connecting multiple devices simultaneously.
Your current price is locked in until the end of your billing period — you won't see any mid-cycle price changes.
However, if pricing changes, auto-renewal will be automatically disabled to prevent unexpected charges. This ensures you're always aware of any price adjustments before committing to another billing cycle, rather than discovering it through your bank statement.
You can review the new pricing and manually renew your service if you choose to continue.
Here's the reality: no third-party service is immune to compromise. Even reputable providers can face security breaches, legal pressure, or operate as honeypots.
Our philosophy: Trust should never be required — verify instead.
That's why we give you full control. With root access to your own server, you're not relying on our promises alone. However, practice good operational security:
• Avoid storing sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) directly on the server
• If you must store sensitive data, encrypt it on your server and only decrypt it on your trusted local device
• Use anonymous payment methods and avoid linking personal details to your account
When configured properly (and we've designed SHP to make this straightforward), you can operate with complete anonymity. The infrastructure is built for privacy — but your security ultimately depends on how you use it.
